Just found this and have been playing around with it. Still very early on in my assessment of it and it just came out the other day but looks VERY promising for all levels of education. Check out the demo and I'm sure you'll be able to see the possibilities. Basically it lets you create a sticky note or view your own sticky notes. It also has a lot of permission settings so that people can set things to public or private stickies as well as who can view / post notes.

Hi
I am very new to Drupal. I am having trouble uploading our 2009 Tax documents as a PDF into the Site. Everytime I upload our 990, it throws an error saying "There is not enough space". I talked to Dreamhost who is our host provider and we have unlimited space according to them.
Where in Drupal would have to look to make sure that I can upload my 990 into the webpage to have it visible.
I am not sure if this is the place to put these discussions or ask for help. So, I apologize if this is not the place to do this.
Thanks for your help in advance.

Chamfer Theme released
Just figured I'd drop a line here. The first theme to be published on drupal.org as a result of the ELMS project has been released. This will effectively replace all of our default course themes that we roll out. I figured I'd share as it was developed specifically for the educational sector of the drupal community.

Read moreUsing Drupal for Admissions Applications in Universities
Hi
I work at a university and we're starting to look for products to have a sitewide CMS (single site or multi site still being debated). I work in admissions and I was wondering if anyone around here has any experience in using Drupal to manage Online Applications, messaging and other pertinent activities related to the Admissions Application process. It'd be nice to hear views of users w.r.t. this approach and any pointers to universities currently using this setup.

Feature request
may i ubmit a feature request - i think it will be helpful if Quiz will have advanced reports with various statistical variables.
As i see here http://www.questionpro.com/results/ there are great options to automatically render:
1) frequency analysis, including percentage and answer cout per every question's variant
2) key statistical analytics, including Mean, confidence interval, standard deviation, standard error, AVERAGE balanced assessment
i guess that some of these is posible via Views, but dont see how to implement Delphi method for example

I've been trying to come up with a suitable solution for inline images for a while now without a ton of success. I'm sure you have had a client who wants to be able to insert images inside the main area of their text. Generally, I try to steer clients in the direction of using CCK fields for content images, but given the fixed nature of this approach, it doesn't work well for longish' tutorials with screen shots. Writers that use Drupal will often times want to use wysiwyg to get their uploaded images into the content above or near the focus of the topic.

I am new to drupal and multisites and have a multisite that wont work. I have a base site that is drupal and is running great. Love drupal. That site is www.example.com. I want to create a subdomain called rosy.example.com. I followed the instructions on drupal.org/node/547860 . Let me give details of what I have and what I have done.
I am running a XAMPP install on a windows server 03 box.
I have the first drupal site for www.example.com installed to xampp/htdocs
Read moreCreating a departmental contacts list
Hi there
For various nodes on my site I might need a 'University' field, so for example I can assign a contact node to a certain university.
That's easy enough by creating a new field. But once that value is chosen, in the context of a contacts node I'd want to offer the user a list of departments associated with that University to select from.
How do I do that in Drupal?
Am I better off creating a university node and having that referenced?
Apols - I think this is another query re Drupal basics.

I'm grappling with a discussion about the costs of supporting drupal vs. proprietary solutions. Some say that there are steep hidden costs in supporting Drupal, and that a proprietary solution is cheaper overall because it comes with that guarantee of up time, and packaged support.

I've been working on a social learning site based on Drupal for the past two years as a student at Brigham Young University and am now working towards readying it for its maiden release into the world as a full-fledged Drupal install profile.
My goal with Eduglu is to:
a) Provide a superb out-of-the-box social learning engine to help departments, clubs, classrooms, and other campus groups communicate, collaborate, and learn with one another.
Multisite Newbie
Hey all,
Great group new to drupal. I am doing my first drupal site for our K-12 district and will be converting over 12 sites from Word HTML (I know, it was before me) to Drupal. Nothing like taking on a small project for the first one. Our district site is up and now I am working on our 7 elementary buildings. I would like the primary nav bar to be the primary nav for all of the sites, but dont necessarily want to maintain 12 menus. Is there anyway to do this with Drupal multisites other than use full path on the subsequent sites.

Read moreSimple Drupal Book -> SCORM package export. Is it worth it?
I'm thinking of doing a simple module that would take a Drupal Book and output a SCORM package (.zip) with the necessary components.
My questions are:
* would there be interest for such a module?
* what SCORM standard (pick one) would be the "best" (least worst?) one to use? (Pointers are welcome, I'm kind of a newb regarding all the available standards).
* do you have any features you'd like this to have?
Drupalversity
I've discussed this idea to some extent on the dev and docs mailing lists, it was suggested that I also post here. In brief:
I think it would be great if we (the broad Drupal community) could put together a series of online courses which teach people different aspects of Drupal.
